The Arewa Dignity Advancement Initiative (ArDA) has endorsed former Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, for appointment as the Minister representing Bauchi State following the resignation of Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

In an open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signed by the group’s Chairperson, Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi, ArDA described Adamu as the most qualified candidate to fill the vacant position.

The organisation said Adamu’s experience in public service, administrative competence, political maturity and loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) make him well suited for the role.

It noted that retaining the ministerial position in Bauchi North Senatorial District would uphold the principles of fairness and balanced representation since Tuggar, who vacated the office to contest the governorship election, also hails from the zone.

ArDA argued that Bauchi North has been left without adequate federal representation, while other senatorial districts in the state have secured several strategic appointments.

The group urged President Tinubu to consider the nomination as a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to equity, inclusive governance and national cohesion.

It added that appointing Adamu Adamu would strengthen confidence in the Renewed Hope agenda and ensure Bauchi North continues to have a voice in the Federal Executive Council.
